Our Exterior Painting Process :

Protecting Surfaces.  We use drop cloths throughout the painting process, protecting areas such as roofing, driveways, decks, walkways and plants.

Carpentry Repairs. If we discover any carpentry damage or rotted surfaces during our inspection, we will decide with the homeowner whether to repair or replace the damaged areas prior to painting.

Washing.  All mildew, mold and dirt is removed to ensure a clean surface for maximum paint adhesion.  Washing a surface before the application of a finish is highly recommended to achieve the most longevity and durability from the finish.  All surfaces are completely cleaned, either by hand or by use of a pressure washer.

Removal of Loose and Peeling Paint.  Areas where paint is peeling and no longer adhering are hand scraped and sanded, leaving a surface that is ready to accept a coat of primer.

Caulking.  We caulk all joints and gaps with a paintable 60 year crackproof siliconized acrylic caulking. These areas include, but are not limited to around window frames, door frames, trim and siding. Caulking will prevent moisture from getting into cracks, joints and behind siding as well as increasing energy efficiency. 

Priming.  All bare wood surfaces are primed using a high quality oil based primer, this not only seals and waterproofs the wood, but provides a surface that the paint will bond to.  

Painting.  Our painters work as a team, providing an efficient and safe work environment. All of our painters are trained in ladder and job site safety. We have brush, roll and spray capabilities and will apply the coating according to our contract. The use of a top quality paints such as Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore will ensure a beautiful looking home for years to come.

Clean Up.  At the end of every workday we clean up the job site, leaving your property and our equipment neat and organized.

Final Walk-Around.  When we have completed the painting of your property, we will perform a final walk-around with you.  At this time, any necessary touch-ups will be completed, making sure you are 100% satisfied with the results. Any extra paint will be left with the homeowner for future use.  We will also leave a job spec sheet listing all the products, paint colors, and sheen levels used throughout the project for future reference.  

Warranty.  We stand behind our work, that is why we include a 3 year written warranty on all of our exterior paint jobs.
